General
The Events can be grouped into a number of different categories. At the top level there are six open events for men and three open events for women. At the intermediate level there are three events for men, catering for the best of the Club and Student crews. The next level offers five men's events for the majority of Club and Student oarsmen. Finally, there are two events for junior boys, under the age of 19. |

Eights - Entry Fee: £100The Grand Challenge Cup (M8+)Open to crews from all eligible clubs. This is the top event for Eights at the Regatta. Two or more clubs may combine to make an entry. The Ladies' Challenge Plate (M8+)For club and university crews below The Grand Challenge Cup standard. No heavyweight FISA Senior national crews may enter for this event. The Thames Challenge Cup (M8+)For club crews below The Ladies' Challenge Plate standard. Student crews from academic institutions are not allowed to enter this event. Combined club entries are not permitted, nor may squad oarsmen seeking selection for F.I.S.A. Heavyweight or Lightweight Championships row in this event. No F.I.S.A. Under 23 national crew may contend for this prize. A crew may not include oarsmen who have rowed or sculled in an Olympic Games or a F.I.S.A. Senior World Championships for Heavyweights or Lightweights or who have won a medal at World Under 23 Championships (or the World Under 23 Regatta or The Nation's Cup), at a World University Rowing Championships or at a European Championships. An oarsman shall not compete in this event if he has previously won an event at the Regatta, other than The Temple, The Prince Albert, The Princess Elizabeth or The Fawley Challenge Cups. An Alumni Boat Club of a university or college must not include current year students in their crews entering this event. The Temple Challenge Cup (M8+)Open to crews from universities, colleges or schools. Combined entries from two colleges of the same university, or from different schools, are permitted. The rules contain a list of restrictions on individuals in order to ensure that the top rowers compete in The Ladies' or The Visitors'. An oarsman shall not compete in this event if he has previously won an event at the Regatta, other than The Thames, The Princess Elizabeth, The Wyfold, The Britannia or The Fawley Challenge Cups. The Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup (JM8+)Open to any crew of schoolboys who will have not attained their nineteenth birthday by the end of the Regatta. Combined entries from different schools are not permitted. Only one crew per school may enter this event. The Remenham Challenge Cup (W8+)The event for open Women's Eights. The event is limited to 8 crews. |

Coxless Fours - Entry Fee: £60The Stewards' Challenge Cup (M4-)Open to crews from all eligible clubs. This is the top event for Coxless Fours at the Regatta. Two or more clubs may combine to make an entry. The Visitors' Challenge Cup (M4-)For club and university crews below The Stewards' Challenge Cup standard. No F.I.S.A. Senior national crew (heavyweight or lightweight) may enter for this event. The Wyfold Challenge Cup (M4-)The same as for The Thames Challenge Cup. The club event for Coxless Fours. Coxed Fours - Entry Fee: £60The Britannia Challenge Cup (M4+)An event for club crews only, at the same level as The Thames Challenge Cup. The Prince Albert Challenge Cup (M4+)An event for student crews only, at the same level as The Temple Challenge Cup except no previous winner of The Thames, The Wyfold or The Britannia Challenge Cups shall be allowed to compete in this event. |

Quadruple Sculls - Entry Fee: £60The Queen Mother Challenge Cup (M4x)Open to crews from any eligible clubs. This is the top event for men's Quadruple Sculls at the Regatta. Two or more clubs may combine to make an entry. The Princess Grace Challenge Cup (W4x)Open to women's crews from any eligible clubs. Two or more clubs may combine to make an entry. The event is limited to 8 crews. All crews entering should expect to have to compete in the Qualifying Races. The Prince of Wales Challenge Cup (M4x)For club and university crews below The Queen Mother Challenge Cup standard. No heavyweight F.I.S.A. Senior national crews may enter for this event. No sculler shall compete in this event and in any other sculling event at the same Regatta. The Fawley Challenge Cup (JM4x)Open to crews from clubs or schools where no sculler will have attained his 19th birthday by the end of the Regatta. |

Coxless Pairs - Entry Fee: £40The Silver Goblets & Nickalls' Challenge Cup (M2-)Open to eligible members of any club. The crew must be at least of British Rowing Senior status in rowing. Double Sculls - Entry Fee: £40The Double Sculls Challenge Cup (M2x)Open to eligible members of any club. The crew must be at least of British Rowing Senior status in sculling. |
